Meet Courtney
Courtney San Pedro is a Chicago based actress and was born and raised in Gurnee, IL! Courtney grew up with a mother who was very involved in the arts in their town, and participated in her first musical, Cinderella where she played Jaq, at the age of four. Her love for theatre continued to grow, and from that moment she took every chance that came her way to be on stage. Consequently, Courtney had over 150 musicals under her belt before she had entered High School! Not even to mention all the plays, dance showcases, band concerts, piano recitals, and many more that she participated in!
In High School, Courtney was involved in every club that she possibly could’ve been in. As just a freshman, she was captain of the exclusively upperclassmen Show Choir, student accompanist for the choirs and A cappella group, dance captain and lead of the musical, and choreographer/assistant choreographer for multiple productions. In the following years, she was able to add captain of the color/winter guard and first chair flautist in the symphonic band to that list! She is extremely grateful for all the opportunities that were available to her and utilizes her skills in the career she has created today!
Courtney decided to leave the college she was attending after her first semester, due to not being able to support herself financially and having some complications with her safety on campus. She then decided she was going to take a leap of faith and just start auditioning and see what would land. Since then she has worked at multiple regional theaters, like Metropolis Performing Arts Centre where she played Wednesday Addams in their recent production of The Addams Family!
When not on stage, you can find Courtney listening to whatever podcast was recommended to her that week, going out dancing with her besties, baking something she’s completely unqualified to bake (basically any French dessert ever), or reading a poetry book with her dogs, Rocky, Thor, and her rainbow bridge dog, Angel!
